Sydney Vital member, Yaser Gholami, was recently invited to give a talk at the 64th Annual Radiation Research Society Conference in Chicago, US and was awarded for his contribution to the field of radiation sciences.
The conference expanded over four days and included an exciting scientific programme with plenary speakers, stimulating review sessions and two presidential symposiums. Dr Gholami’s talk described one of his most recent publications, novel microparticle therapy for advanced pancreatic cancer (Towards personalised dosimetry with 32P microparticle therapy for advanced pancreatic cancer), which can be viewed here.
In addition to giving a talk at the conference, Yaser also presented a poster which was on other recent publications, investigating the radiation biology differences in the external beam radiation and radionuclide therapy (Comparison of radiobiological parameters for 90y radionuclide therapy (rnt) and external beam radiotherapy (ebrt) in vitro), which can be seen here.
We’d like to congratulate Yaser on receiving the RRS 2018 SIT Travel Award and encourage him to keep up his outstanding work towards Translational Cancer Research.
