We were pleased to welcome Harvard’s Prof Thomas Bortfeld to give a seminar on temporo-spatial optimization of radiation therapy.

Prof Thomas Bortfeld gave his talk on the grand challenges in temporo-spatial optimization. Prof Bortfeld’s key 4 challengers were:

1. Transfering CTV Definition from an art to a science.
2. Towards Optimal Stopping: ending the treatment after the optimal patient-individual radiation dose level has been reached.
3. Understanding FLASH therapy: ultra-short treatment delivery for better biological effectiveness
4. …democratizing high tech treatments such as Proton Therapy.
